Crepes with Nutella and Bananas...

The last couple days here have been cloudy, dreary, and rainy. As I worked at home yesterday, wrapped in a blanket and listening to the rain come down for hours nothing sounded good for lunch except fresh, warm crepes. Not a typical lunch food, but it was just the thing to turn a cold work day into a cozy and delicious one.

Recipe....

This cake is divine! It combines two of my favorite things, chocolate and hazelnuts, and tastes like a giant macaron! Best of all it is not complicated to make or time consuming. We have been enjoying it all weekend!

Recipe: Artichoke and Feta Tarts with Tomato Salad

A quick and delicious recipe from Donna Hay* that I have wanted to try for quite some time.  It's perfect as an appetizer or lunch and is ready in less than 20 minutes!

*One change I would make to the recipe is to use basil instead of the mint, the mint just didn't work for me with this.

Recipe: Potato and Leek Pizza with Goat Cheese

I used to think that potatoes on pizza was an odd combination, but after seeing this recipe, I couldn't resist trying it out. The  idea of potatoes, leeks and goat cheese together sounded delicious. The flavors were so good together that after just one bite this became one of my favorite pizzas that I have ever had!

Raspberry, Mascarpone, and Pistachio Tarts

After baking and eating these adorable tarts, I can definitely say that they have been added to the list of our favorite desserts. The pistachio shells are delicately crisp and the mascarapone filling is to die for! I have to admit that while assembling them, more filling went directly into my mouth than into the tarts. :)

Rustic Cabbage Soup with Gruyere Croutons

A quick, delicious, healthy dinner. Recipe found here. This soup goes great with a side of bread, either a warm baguette or crunchy croutons make the dish! I added gruyere croutons which I made by buttering both sides of the bread and placing the slices in the oven under the broiler for a couple minutes. When the bread became slightly golden, I flipped each piece over, added gruyere cheese and fresh thyme and broiled for another minute.
